Going through recent photos
I am feeling blessed to have made it through yet another year! The family is happy and healthy, we have a roof over our heads, and we live in a beautiful spot where we can enjoy God’s wonderful creation! We are truly blessed to have this chance to live where we want and make a living how we want! With all that is happening in the world around us this is something that we cannot take for granted.
That said, I wanted to share with you some of the pictures I found on my SD card as I was cleaning it out. No matter how big a card I get they still seem to fill up eventually! Time has been flying and I have been so busy that I have unfortunately not been keeping up with my blog posts! Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I thought this would be a good way to catch up.
The summer of 2015 was hot and very dry and ended in a kinda scary way. This picture was taken from our home we just got through working our tails off to build and are still putting the finishing touches on:
After the rain started showing us winter was on it’s way we all had a sigh of relief. Not everyone in our community was so fortunate.
This mother Black bear must have lost her home in the fire or maybe her God given instincts told her she should take a vacation on the river until the fire was out.
It was nice to have clear sky again!
With winter just around the corner it was time to get serious about getting some firewood put up! The ole’ J20 made it just a bit more fun.
This guy was trying to find a way into my wife’s garden…. Just hang around ’till hunting season buddy.
With all the Wild turkeys around here we don’t have much trouble finding Thanksgiving diner.
This picture of the kids was taken a week before Thanksgiving . I am truly blessed
Winter of 2015. Might as well have some fun!
Ok, So I might have photoshopped the sled. But I thought it added a special touch.
Spring 2016! Nothing says spring like Cherry blossoms!
Everything is so green come spring! Those draws on the hillsides are amazing.
As busy as 2016 was I did still make time to go on a few back roads in the XJ. Not hard to find a beautiful spot here in the PNW!
It’s always fun when we can see the elk from the house. A bit far off but still fun!
During the fall we get amazing rainbows!
When the surrounding hills start looking like this we know Winter is just around the corner.
And boy did it hit hard and cold.
As cold as it is it didn’t stop some from having a little fun.
So here we are 2017 and the coldest winter since we have been here. The Lord continues to bless. We have a warm home, the firewood is still holding out, we are all healthy and the rigs are still running! I would also like to thank all my Youtube subscribers and those that have followed my Instagram and Facebook account. It’s always great to hear from you so drop by any time and post a comment!
